Help format, copy-edit and link-check email newsletters
Schedule and organize tasks to plan ahead, both for yourself and Alicia
Find aligned media to amplify our message/PR outreach under my guidance
Marketing: includes networking with bloggers, podcasters, journalists etc., reaching out via social media and email to make connections and promote Alicia’s work.
Required core competencies for position:

This position has the potential to grow as Alicia’s business grows.
Not required, but ideal:
You are interested in graphic design: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign (but must be comfortable in Canva as well because this is what Alicia uses)
You have Jewish education experience and would enjoy assisting with class preparation or syllabus/curriculum creation
You’re skilled in branding + marketing and are interested in taking on larger decision making in that area
You have an awesome understanding of ecommerce and small business marketing
You are interested in the connection between art, ritual and commerce/sustenance
This Position Would Not be a Good Fit for You if:
You are stronger in coming up with ideas, creating and relating than you are in execution and mastering the details (this is an admin position supporting art, not the other way around)
You have ongoing life circumstances that make you unable to complete tasks on time
You struggle with learning new technology and systems
Rather than being proactive in communicating, you hide out when struggling with a task or if you are unable to complete a deadline.
Position details:
This is not an employee position, it is an hourly contract position (no benefits). You will be issued a 1099 at the end of the year and will be responsible for your own reporting/taxes.
Work will begin with a one month test period to make sure we are a good match, at which point we will sign a contract for ongoing hourly support if we mutually agree.
If we sign an ongoing contract after the test period, either you or Alicia can give two weeks’ notice to cancel, although one month’s notice is preferred in both directions.
Note: This is an ongoing position & the ideal candidate will be interested in this position for the long term.
Application process:
Please send an email to: aliciajorabins.projects@gmail.com with “Application” in the subject line. Tell me about your strengths and interests in the position, any questions, any other relevant information, and attach a resume. If we advance to the next round I will request phone calls with two references.
